Jason Embry covers Washington for the Austin American-Statesman. He previously covered Texas government and politics for the American-Statesman in Austin. Embry has also written for the Waco Tribune-Herald, the Killeen Daily Herald and the Williamson County Sun. He is a 1998 graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, where he graduated with honors and double-majored in political science and communication.
