Bill would set minimum standards for immigration raids
Democratic Sens. Robert Menendez and Edward Kennedy have proposed a bill that would set minimum standards for treatment of people during and after immigration raids.
It is dubbed the “Protect Citizens and Residents from Unlawful Raids and Detention Act.”
Immigrant advocates are hailing the legislation.
Ben Johnson, director of the American Immigration Law Foundation, said that the group “applauds Senators Menendez and Kennedy’s efforts to reintroduce the rule of law and the basic principles of fairness and humanity to the enforcement of our country’s immigration laws…Due process and equal treatment under the law are fundamental rights that our country has stood for and are at the heart of the Menendez-Kennedy bill.”

I’m puzzled about the words “Citizens” and “Unlawful”. If illegal immigrants are not citizens then why should they be protected. If they are Unlawful Citizens then arresting them is following the law. And if they are illegal gang members who should Kennedy and Menendez be protecting, them or us?

The comments that you post are obviosly racist. Prove that the people who have no paper are criminals? What did they steal from any of you. In fact, you forget that they are the ones that make it possible for you to buy your fiood at the grocery store, the ones that cook your meals and clean your the restuarants tables that you leave dirty behind-a privilege just because you paid your bill and call yourself ‘citizen’? Did they make a mistake for crossing the border to escape poverty and for looking for an opportunity? Did not your grand ancestors do the same? So who are you to claim citizenship, lawfulness and non-criminal when you know that you enjoy the explotation of these human being?

I have never been arrested in this country but I have seen other people who were. NO ONE no matter what race, culture, or color, who breaks the law and gets arrested is treated nicely or very humanly when they break the law. NO ONE! including American citizens. Why should ILLEGAL immigrants be treated any differently.

Criminal behavior includes immpersonating a citizen, pretending to be a legal citizen. That is a crime in every country and you can be arrested, jailed and deported at any time. Mexico tried to deport my daughter, so I know the facts.

Whenever a patriotic American Citizen speaks out against the criminal invasion of Illegal Aliens some bigoted, anti-American pro-Illegal Alien zealot will always post an ignorant attack, such as the following foolish trash.
Quote: [“The comments that you post are obviosly racist.”]
Since you offer nothing to substantiate your silly and absurd claim of racism, you’re obviously incapable of rationally debating a subject as important as the future of our wonderful and generous USA. There are very many sources available online that explain, to any intelligent person, how laws of national sovereignty operate internationally. Also available online are written examples of Immigration Laws around the world and how our USA’s Immigration Laws are extremely open and welcoming.
When compared to other countries, everybody with an IQ above room temp realize our Immigration Laws are most welcoming. However American Citizens refuse to condone lawlessness and oppose unscrupulous employers who utilize Illegal Aliens as economic slaves.
Quote: [“And if they are illegal gang members who should Kennedy and Menendez be protecting, them or us?”] Ted Kennedy and Bob Menendez don’t represent law abiding, tax paying American Citizens and we’re responsible for our protection. If anyone relies on our political cucarachas for protection better beware. Calling 911 when the barbarians are beating at your gates is unfortunately, usually a little too late.
