Hispanic Caucus pushes Obama on immigration

Hispanic lawmakers on Capitol Hill are pressuring Sen. Barack Obama to commit to helping illegal immigrants achieve citizenship or else risk losing the vital Latino vote in the general election, according to The Hill, a newspaper that covers Congress.

The paper also said this week that some Latino House members would like Obama to pick Sen. Hillary Clinton to be his running mate.

“Hillary holds the entire Latino community in the palm of her hand,” Rep. Jose Serrano, D-N.Y., told The Hill.

Obama has said that he supports a “comprehensive” immigration reform that includes a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants.

Meanwhile, Congressional Quarterly reported that some female Hispanic House members, who supported Clinton in the primary, are angry that Obama has not reached out to them.

“We were told that he was going to make some approach to us to join the fold,” Rep. Grace Napolitano, D-Calif., told CQ on Thursday. “I haven’t heard from Mr. Obama.”

Obama will win whether he panders to latinos or not. So he might as well take a position that upholds America’s current laws. One that is best for the country.

“…commit to helping illegal immigrants achieve citizenship…”

Who do these ILLEGAL ALIENS think they are demanding anything? They enter this Country ILLEGALLY, rape the American taxpayer paying for all their ANCHOR BABIES, schooling them and taking care of their health problems. They steal identities or use forged documents, drive without a license or car insurance and the list goes on. Leaving their trash at the border, and take jobs away from Americans.

AND THEY WANT AMNESTY?

HOW ABOUT GO BACK TO THE COUNTRY YOU CAME FROM!

This is a surprise? Hispanic politicians in this nation do not care about anyone but the RAZA. The nation comes second. Surprised?

LaRaza and radical Hispanics are always demanding something, and to intimadate Obama is nothing new. We are fed up with illegal aliens, their marches, their demands. They need to return to their country and make their demands their. The Hisoanic caucus is a pain in the neck, however, they are looking for more power by demanding citizenship for violators of federal immigration laws. Apparently the Hispanic caucus has no respect for our laws. We needto fire them and all others who propose givng illegal aliens amnesty and citizensip. Illegal aliens are turning our roadsides into landfills and their backyards into barn yards. Send them all home.

Is this called bribery? Wonder what is being offered in return? However, I’m sure since it’s the Hispanic caucus, they must be obeyed or Mexico might take back its illegals. We can only dream. Wonder what would happen if we formed a White Caucus? I can just hear blacks and Hispanics screaming. It is unthinkable that a superpower such as the US quakes in fright at the sight of a poorly educated, low-skilled illegal alien. Our politicians rush to give him/her the keys to the city. We’ve been dancing to Mexico’s tune for a long time, and it must stop. Their sense of entitlement is outrageous! But as for McCain or Obama, they will give these criminals a path to citizenship. Is there anyone out there who cares enough about this country to save it from sure destruction at the hands of illegal aliens?

Yes, again they are DEMANDING what they want or else. So typical. Can’t the politicians see this? So what if they don’t support them. The last I checked there were still a tiny bit more white Americans out there than illegal Hispanics. Everyone is forgetting the legal Hispanics. Most of the are just as tired of the illegals behavior as we are. You are right. We need to form a “White America” group. We are always trying to be fair and nice. Time to stand up and fight for our country.

It’s interesting to see the cajones on the women of the Hispanic Caucus who are arrogant enough to speak for ALL Hispanics, when in reality Hispanic Americans are opposed to granting amnesty to illegal alien invaders.

They didn’t get Amnesty with Bush and they won’t get it with Obama or McCain. They have to go through the American People and we have made it clear more than once we won’t tolerate another amnesty. If it only took a President to get Amnesty they would have had it by now. Stay vigilant people. We know this will keep coming up until they finally get it. No Amnesty and secure our Borders and enforce the rule of law. It is as simple as 1 2 3.

[‘It is as simple as 1 2 3.’]
You’re right, it is simple as 1 2 3.

    1. Identify all political cucarachas who support open borders & the utilization of Illegal Aliens as economic slaves.
    1. Vote out of office all political cucarachas who support open borders & promote evil economic slavery.
    1. Remind the new batch of political cucarachas what had happened to the previous batch of who were pro-Illegal Alien & open borders…

Who are these “hispanics”? they suposedly are speaking for? I am a Latina woman and 6th generation American. I don’t want to see our country over populated by any foreign group. Think of an all you can eat restaurant. At some point, they have the right to say, sorry we are all full at this time, we may be able to accomidate you soon but at this point in time we are at maxium capacity. if people start climbing through the bathroom windows, didn’t pay the fee or stand in line and then demand to sit at my table, there are going to be problems. Food and space resources and the infrastruce will colapse at some point. It is already in peril in Los Angeles. I ran away from the city I love because I don’t want my children raised in a thrid world country. The Mexican people do have rights. They have the right to clean water, jobs and access to government resources…. From the Mexian government. This is a new dawn. We as Mexican Americans are demanding the Mexican Government and Catholic Chruch provide your people with the basic necessities. How about start with clean water for your people. How many jobs would be created with some new water treatment plants? Americans are through living with the your poverty. And because the Catholic Church prohibits good catholics from family planning we are not going to pay the price of decrease in the quality of our lives becasue of your population explosions. Your are foced to live with this atermath. To the Hispanic caucus, from a very proud Latina American… You don’t speak for me!I will vote exclusively for the person I feel has the American people’s intrest at heart and will not let this beautiful country turned into an overpopulated sespool. Bleeding hearts try living in Los Angeles. You will soon believe. Ever wonder why states like Arazona and California complain the most about illegal immigrants. Because they are ground zero. States to the north have no idea. Here is just a sampling of the “fun” of having your city overrun. Say goodbye to shopping carts. Illegals can’t drive so they take the shopping carts and litter up your streets with them. Took my baby the the emergency room with a fever and was told to come back in 8 hours. the hospital is full becasue the ER can’t turn away illegals. so me and my baby with insurance and as I said 6 generation american with a grandfater who fought in 3 wars plus a dad who fought in vietnam had absolutly no rights to get medical attention and had to wait behind people who just walked over here last month with no insurance?

I got hit by an illegal alian who drove off the minute I got out of the car because he had no insurance.

My neighbors had 10 (I guess) people living in an appartment on the same street. There was no parking becasue of all of the dumpy broken cars on street. The garbage can that was for a famly of four was spralled all over.

Men and women walk through the neighborhood shouting tamales or icecream or corn at all hours with makeshift stoves made out of baby buggys. noise polution at all ours.. on and on.

Viva la raza.. back in their own country.

What the hack? Those hispanic congress man are traitors. Why do they care so much about those illegals and claiming to say they serve this country. They should go back to Mexico. I am legal immigrant here and I can’t bring my wife here legally because they are blocking all the legistration to help legal immigrant. They should be ashame of their action. They are promoting illegal activities instead of clamping down on breaking the law at the expense of people who follow the law.

Every legal American, white or hispanic need to make a stand and speak out publicly. We all write on here but how many actually write their congressman or senate? How many try to contact the candidates about this?

Regardless of who wins the presidency, the issue of immigration reform will be a priority.

Some have argued that rewarding those who wait in line. In fact there are no lines or rules. If so which one?

A Cuban could arrive in Brownsville and given automatic green card.

While a Valedictorian student in California will be deported to Armenia.

And sons and daughters of former undocumented immigrants beneficiaries Simpson-Mazzolli Act are in Iraq and Afghanistan serving thier country.

Law enforcement can only go so far. Real reform is needed.

This is one of the flaws with Democracy. Groups and special interests push politicians to act in ways contrary to the good of the nation. To pander and gain votes (or lose them) these men in Washington will do anything to get elected, even if that means giving up on our own soveriegnty. The only, yes the only man with any principles or integrity for that matter that I know of in Washington is Ron Paul.

The problem with Obama and these special interest groups are Obama has no reputation of independence. McCain is well known to be independent, much of the right wing dislike him because of it. But Obama has no such record so he is always telling them(no matter the group) what they want to hear. Remember Obama campaigning in Penn and trying to bowl, then going to San Francisco and putting down middle America because that is what San Fran folks like to hear.

I,would like natives meaning not born to europeans, to set up immigrations offices in check their papers dating back about 200 years, and those the got here by boat or addmited WOP that means with out papers, must be deported ASAP.And that would solve our immigration dilema.proud tobe native.not invader.

I agree with Delaware Bob. Illegal means what it says, “by means other than legal”. Pathway to “legal” should be through the courts and involve proof of a legal entry into the country. We can’t send them all back but the anchor baby loop hole needs to be closed.
