More immigrants suing U.S. because of citizenship backlog
The number of immigrants suing the federal government to force a decision on their backlogged citizenship applications is increasing sharply, the Washington Post reported Wednesday.
In fiscal 2005, applicants filed 370 such lawsuits against U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. By last year, the number had jumped to 3,900, and applications this year are on pace to surpass 5,200, the Post said.
The backlog was caused by an unprecedented number of applications last year — more than 1.4 million.
Lawmakers have blasted the agency for not preparing for the increase.
At a hearing last month, Sen. Edward Kennedy told Homeland Secretary Michael Chertoff that 580,000 people who applied for citizenship in time to vote in November will be denied that chance because of the delays.
Chertoff said that USCIS will process a record 1 million naturalization applications by the end of the current fiscal year, 30 percent more than in 2007.

[‘At a hearing last month, Sen. Edward Kennedy told Homeland Secretary Michael Chertoff that 580,000 people who applied for citizenship in time to vote in November will be denied that chance because of the delays.’]
Teddy has given away the DemocRat’s scheme. They want to overload the system in time to allow Illegal Aliens to vote for their Political Patrons. The New Age DemocRat Party sees Illegal Aliens, along with other ethnic groups, as political peons voting Democrat, like mindless robots.
What a golden opportunity for the GOP with DemocRats fragmenting over who’s more Marxist or Anti-American. The hideously hateful message from DemocRats is constantly demonizing personal success & productiveness while promoting a bigger FedGov with an expanded NannyState.
Under normal circumstances this election would be a landslide for Republicans, without pandering to un-American Pro-Illegal Alien Cults & globalists who’re all promoting economic slavery through the use of Illegal Alien workers. It would be such a horrible shame to waste such a glorious opportunity to bury the left in another election landslide.

Radical Chicano Group Gets Millions In Earmarks Link - http://www.gopusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=49141
A racist Pro-Illegal Alien Cult is slobbering at the public trough.
An extremist Mexican “La Raza” group that annually gets millions of U.S. federal grant dollars will receive even more taxpayer money in the next few years thanks to a Massachusetts congressman’s multi million-dollar earmark to counsel Hispanics about housing.
The National Council of La Raza already got $1.3 million from the Department of Housing and Urban Development this year to conduct “comprehensive housing counseling’’ for Hispanics, whether they are in the country legally or not. Now the radical group that advocates the return of the American Southwest to Mexico, will get an additional $15 million thanks to an earmark inserted by Massachusetts Democrat Barney Frank in a housing bill.
Frank, the House Financial Services Chairman, is giving the National Council of La Raza $5 million this year and $10 million in each of the next two years. The new law (FHA Housing Stabilization and Homeownership Retention Act of 2008) includes $100 million for mortgage counseling to be administered by non-profit groups like the National Council of La Raza, which has raked in millions of taxpayer dollars over the year. In fiscal 2006 alone, the group got $15.2 million in federal grants.
Americans should be outraged that their tax dollars are going to a group that, not only advocates open borders but organized many of the country’s disruptive pro illegal immigration marches a year ago. Although the National Council of La Raza describes itself as the largest Latino civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States, it actually caters to the radical Chicano movement that says California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and parts of Colorado and Texas belong to Aztlan.
The takeover plan is referred to as the “reconquista” of the Western U.S. and it features ethnic cleansing of Americans, Europeans, Africans and Asians once the area is taken back and converted to Aztlan. While this may all sound a bit crazy, this organization is quite powerful and its leaders regularly attend congressional hearings regarding immigration.
The group uses its U.S. tax dollars to fund projects like a Southern California elementary school with a curriculum that specializes in bashing America and promoting the Chicano movement. The school’s founder and principal, a Calexico-educated activist named Marcos Aguilar, opposes racial integration and says Mexicans in the U.S. don’t want to go to white schools or drink from white water fountains. It’s interesting to know that despite the fears of the impending recession problem, immigrants are still opting to live in America. The statistics show that America is no longer viewd as a country of abundant opportunities by most developing countries and yet there are scores of people waiting to gain the US citizenship. On my blog http://onlineremit.blogspot.com/ I had discussed the trend of Asian influence on the developing countries which are now focussing on India and China, seems like I stand corrected as far as permanent settlement is concerned.
