Obama’s running mate: Be the first to know
The Barack Obama campaign says its man “is about to” pick a running mate. And Obama wants you to be the first to know who it is.
Here’s the Sunday e-mail Campaign Manager David Plouffe sent to Obama backers:
“Barack Obama is about to make one of the most important decisions of this campaign - choosing a running mate. You have helped build this movement from the bottom up, and Barack wants you to be the first to know his choice.”

By signing up, you will get - Plouffe says- an e-mail “the moment Barack makes his decision.” Alternatively, you can text “VP” to 62262 to get the announcement on your phone.
“No other campaign has done this before,” Plouffe said in the e-mail.
